This past week, I had the privilege of doing evangelism with a sister in Christ who had arrived in Canada but doesn’t speak any English. I was amazed by her ability to connect with strangers and open gospel conversations. It struck me that I too often underestimate the Holy Spirit’s power to enable us to participate in His saving work.
Perhaps no demographic is as under-activated for mission as children. That’s why today is exciting: I want to share the official release of Living Sent Kids.
Children Can Make Disciples
6 years ago, we released Living Sent, and we have seen so many people come to know Christ or experience the joy of discipling someone through this resource.
However, as has been my life’s message for almost 20 years, disciple-making is not the domain of the mature Christian; it is meant to be part of every believer’s life, including our children. Yes, even children can be discipled and make disciples.
Living Sent Kids
That’s why we redeveloped the content from Living Sent: Discovering Jesus into a version specifically aimed at children ages 8 to 12.
We cover the exact same topics as the original version, including introductory apologetics and foundational doctrines such as the Trinity, sin, redemption, the Church, Scripture, and the Holy Spirit. The entire resource is saturated with Scripture throughout and calls our kids to thoughtful response and intentional action.
Our illustration team has done a fantastic job, including beautiful illustrations to make the content more engaging for kids (and adults!).
